Fantasy and science fiction are my main staples. I have several works in progress.
Linden
The most important law of Hallton is this: never cross the bridge into the woods.
Lynda Daymor knows this. As a Keeper-in-Training, she is sworn by an ancient treaty to protect the town from the dangers lurking on the other side of that bridge. Nevertheless, when her best friend, Kyle, claims the supposed dangers are fabricated fairy tales, she dares him to prove it—betraying her duties and risking both their lives. Having violated the treaty, Lynda faces exile and must seize one chance for redemption: crossing the wolf-infested forest to the forsaken city of Linden, to discover the truth behind the catastrophe that befell the once-thriving capital.
Only sixteen, Lynda is still learning to use the magic that the ancient gods, the Nine Great Sisters, gifted her ancestor. Surviving the journey to Linden with barely any control over the six currents that fuel her magic is the least of Lynda's worries. She and Kyle must confront deadly werewolves, outwit a ruthless bounty hunter, and stop a force that may threaten the entire kingdom. When Kyle discovers a dark secret about his true identity, it could not only rip apart their budding relationship, but also jeopardize their mission.
LINDEN is a young adult fantasy novel, the first in a trilogy, that features a strong female lead in an immersive, fairy-tale setting. It is a story about friendship, growing up, and forgiveness. (Status: complete)
Space Between
A science fiction short story about "the space between us all..." Inspired by The Beatles' "Within You, Without You." (Status: in progress)

Itri's quest will bring her to the end of the earth and the end of her wit. Can she find Isador? Can she resist lure of revenge long enough to complete her mission? (NaNoWriMo 2015; status: unfinished)
The Woodcutter's Daughter
Mari is living in an isolated cabin in the woods with her father and sister when she discovers she has magical powers. One day, a day her father has long feared, a powerful magician comes to take her away to train her. During her schooling, she finds herself at odds with the magician's daughter—a surly recluse who may hate Mari even more than Mari hates the magician who whisked her away from her family. On the day of Mari's graduation, she is assigned one last test—the last remaining obstacle between Mari and her ticket home. The problem? She must embark on a long quest across the kingdom with only one ally: the magician's daughter. If Mari is ever going to see her father and sister again, she must learn to work together with her long-term rival and overcome the fouler forces working against them: forces worse even than their mutual hatred, that threaten the entire land. Can they trust each other enough to save the kingdom? (Status: outline)
